The Smilezone Foundation accepts responsibility for all personal information disclosed under its control. The Foundation is committed to complying with all federal and provincial privacy legislation applicable to our operations.

Business and organization information and certain publicly available information, such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, etc., are not considered personal information.

Our employees sign confidentiality agreements, and additional safeguards are in place to ensure that information is not accessed, disclosed, or shared more widely than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was gathered. When the Smilezone Foundation collects personal information from individuals, the Foundation identifies the purposes for which that information is collected at or before the time of collection. These purposes may include: administration of donations, registration for events, fundraising, and providing information about Smilezone Foundation in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

The means in which you provide us with your personal information may be orally, electronically or in writing. The consent of donors to use their personal information for the purpose for which it was gathered is implied when personal donor information, such as donor’s name, address and donation amount, is collected. The use of a donor’s personal information is used only for the purposes of collecting donations, providing tax receipts if necessary, and other purposes identified during collection.
